The Classic Thunderbird Club of South Florida's Annual Open Car Show, which had been scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed to April 25, 2021. Since this year's show is at a smaller location than our previous 20 years, the 2021 Show is already sold out for show registration. We are full to capacity, and our waiting list is also full. BUT we will be open to the public (no admission fee) from 10 am to 3 pm, and we anticipate a wonderful turnout and a terrific day in a beautiful setting!
The 2022 show will be on Sunday, January 23, 2022 and the registration will open on April 26, 2021 for $20 until November 1. After that date, it will be $25 until fully sold out. EVENT INFORMATIONL
After 20 years at Tropical Park off SW 40 St (Bird Road) in Miami, we had to find a new spot because of construction at Tropical. And we got really lucky! We found a beautiful venue, complete with a hill and shade trees.
Our Annual Show will be held at Cooper Park in West Miami. If you’ve ever attended our shows, you know what a tremendous turnout we get. We’ve had more than 200 show cars, and one year, we even had to close the gates. AND we get spectators – around 1,000 and a couple of times a few hundred more!
Awards are made to 15 classes, with 3 places in each category, determined by drivers’ choice. We also award the club with most cars shown. And there is an award for the driver who travels the greatest distance and a Mayor’s Choice (Best of Show), award, chosen by the Mayor of West Miami.
We have food trucks and a live DJ, and the event is well attended by families. Kids love coming!
We’re all tired of being restricted in this time of COVID, and we hope that we can have a day of fun – with loads of great “eye candy” – in this beautiful, safe setting!
