Caffeine & Gasoline Offseason Auto Meet - CANCELLED/COVID19

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CAFFEINE & GASOLINE: It is with great regret that we must announce the temporary postponement of “Caffeine and Gasoline”, originally scheduled for the first Sunday of the month at Pine Belt Chrysler starting November 1, 2020. This event will be postponed until further notice. Let me take a moment to explain why. COVID-19 has shook the very foundation of our country. Many have lost their jobs, their businesses, and their lives. While NJ was one of the worst affected states in the beginning of the pandemic, we were able to get things under control over the summer. Unfortunately now, we are starting to see a surge in cases, and a large spike in Ocean County, with the largest numbers in Lakewood where Pine Belt is located. First and foremost, Pine Belt is a family owned business and has been since its inception in 1937. The ownership cares about their employees, their customers, and their families. After a great amount of educated and thorough discussions, Pine Belt wants to do the right thing and not risk any of our fellow vehicle owners, their families, Pine Belt employees, and customers to COVID-19. The only way to do that is to eliminate gatherings that would put people in close contact and thusly increased risk. As this event was intended to be indoors over the winter months, the risk of transmission is greater than if it had been held outside. We say this postponement is temporary because we will continually re-asses the situation, and once the pandemic or threat of transmission of COVID-19 is behind us we can look forward to Caffeine and Gasoline at Pine Belt in Lakewood!
