Gilmore Pre-1942 Driving Tour

A Driving Tour Celebrating the First 50 Years of the Automobile!



Join us for the 4th Annual Pre-1942 Driving Tour open to all pre-42 vehicles, just like the cars Museum Founder Donald Gilmore was known for collecting. Only original stock vehicles will be eligible to participate, no modified or hot rod style vehicles please.



The Driving Tour will gather and stage at the Museum at 9:00 am and depart at 9:30 am on Friday, May 17th. This year's tour, sponsored by OLSON'S GASKETS, will be kick off a 95-mile tour into West Michigan, retracing portions of the 1910 Glidden Tour. A shorter 32 mile tour is available for 1 - 2 cylinder cars.



Make sure you stick around for Saturday's Pre-1942 Showcase with demos of Steam Cars, early gas and electric cars and the whimsical Gilmore 1 - 2 cylinder Motor Challenge. A fun Pass in Review Parade and opportunity to drive the museum's historic campus.
