Autocross Primer School – 10 AM to 1 PM

The Autocross class is held on the Saturdays prior to our local autocross events that are held on the following Sunday.

They consist of a classroom environment where a description and techniques of an autocross is given along with a short video showing and describing an autocross event.

Following the class, attendees will have the automobiles “tech inspected”. This is where the cars are checked for correctly torques lug nuts, ensured there are no fluid leaks, no detrimental suspension problems, seat/safety belts are in serviceable condition, all loose items have been removed, and that their helmet is current. If the student does not own a helmet, a limited number of helmets are available for their use.

After their automobiles have been safety checked, they will go out to the class autocross course and ride with a CCA member around the course a few times to gain knowledge regarding the techniques used to successfully negotiate an autocross course. After this they can drive their own vehicle with a CCA member on board to get a feeling of an autocross experience with an instructor giving them pointers related to techniques driving their own vehicle. Following this instruction, the student can drive solo around the course. This Primer Class Course has various features generally used at autocross events.

The class costs $15, $10 of which can be deducted from the next days autocross if the student has registered for the autocross event. Pre-registration is recommended using our "AutoX Registration" page.
