6th Annual VETTES N VETS All Corvette Show

Pre-registration is now open for the VETTES N VETS All Corvette Car Show to be held at the American Legion in Carmel on Saturday, August 19th. The show is sponsored by Penske Chevrolet. There will be 173 trophies and special awards. There will be two separate sets of trophies so Corvette Indy Vettes will not compete against guests. For maximum fairness guests will vote on Corvette Indy Vettes while Corvette Indy members will vote on guests' Vettes. There will be 19 individual Vette classes with 1st, 2ND and 3rd place trophies. Major awards will include People's Choice for Best of Show, Penske Chevrolet's Choice for Best of Show, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Exterior, Best Vet's Vette and Most Patriotic all with 1st, 2ND and 3rd place trophies. The American Legion will also award a Commander's Choice Award. In addition there will be other special awards for club participation, longest distance, etc. There will be raffles and goodie bags. Commemorative dash plaques will be given to the first 175 registrants. We will have music and a DJ and food will be prepared by and sold for the benefit of the American Legion. Show proceeds will benefit Veteran and other worthwhile charities. Come to the show and see lots of Corvettes and meet other Corvette friends. All Corvette clubs are invited to participate but you don't have to belong to a Corvette club to enter this show. Anyone with a Corvette is welcome. This is a "show for fun" event and no tedious show preparation before hand is needed as the Vettes are not being judged on cleanliness. You can wash it and wax it if you want to but if you are not into that then just drive it in and show like it is. Your chances of driving home with an award are still good. Registration for guests is $15 if pre-registered by August 5th or $20 thereafter. If you decide to join Corvette Indy either as a primary member or as a second club your registration fee will be waived. Registration is from 9-11am, awards at 3pm. 852 W. Main St., Carmel, IN
