The Meals on Wheels Program is an essential and necessary service to effectively care for our senior neighbors and consists of a collaboration of community organizations, businesses, and an army of volunteers working together to deliver a meal, a safety check, and a smile each day. Often, that is all it takes to enable seniors to live at home where they want to be. Locally, Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County reaches over 2,000 older adults annually with nutrition or other supportive services to improve the quality of their life, improve overall health, and support independent living.
Did you know? It takes about $2,000 to feed and support a homebound senior for one year. While our agency does have funding from a senior services levy, it is important to note, the levy covers less than two thirds of the agency’s total operating budget. We rely on donations, fundraising, and Title III funds for the balance. The senior population is growing rapidly which has resulted in an increased demand for our services. At Meals on Wheels we are determined to raise the funds necessary to ensure seniors who need our help, get our help.

Register your club to participate in the Meals on Wheels Car Show scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Olivedale City Park in Lancaster, Ohio. The event day includes the car show, a craft fair, live music, and plenty of food. Please refer to the enclosed flyer and registration form for more information. Meals on Wheels Older Adult Alternatives of Fairfield County is a 501(c)3 non-profit serving seniors age sixty and older within Fairfield County.
