The 7th Annual Rollin on the River Car Show Event

September 26 – 2:00 to 9:30 pm



Mark your Calendars!! The 7th annual Rollin on the River Car Show and Music Event will be held again on September 26 from 2:00 to 10:00 pm at the Marina Park in Boardman. Rollin on the River was started in 2009 by the Boardman Kiwanis and the Boardman Chamber of Commerce to establish an annual event to raise funds for special children’s projects and to “provide an annual event in Boardman, Oregon that provides entertainment and libations to people from all over the Columbia Basin”.

There will be a car show from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, with dash plaques for the first 50 cars. Live Music will be provided by The Shades from 6 pm to 9:30 pm , D.J. Cora will provide music and entertainment. There will be swing and line dance lessons with April from the Sundancers. Food will be available for purchase to accompany beer and cider offerings from Ordinance Brewery and Neighbor Dudes. Wine offerings will also be available.

THE 2014 ROLL IN CAR SHOW was well attended, and has been increasing in size each year with 72 cars in attendance last year. Last Year’s Winners were; KIWANIS BEST IN SHOW: Richard Sanford’s 1953 Chevrolet 3100 4x4; MOTORCYCLE: Chris Hoffman’s 2006 Saxon Firestorm; IMPORT: Ron Koenig’s 1971 Datsun 510; CLASSIC: Del and Linda LaRue’s 1934 Ford Coupe; LATE MODEL: A 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 owned by Jack Parris; TRUCK: 1953 Chevrolet 3100 4x4 owned by Richard Sanford. Tickets are available in advance or at the event for $10.00 each for those 21 and over. So whether you are a car show enthusiast, or you just want to socialize and see what is on tap with Ordnance and the Neighbor Dudes, the day promises to be a blast, with old friends and new. Childrens Projects supported by the Boardman Kiwanis with funds raised include, the Safe Halloween Party at the High School, the Christmas with Santa breakfast, and many more.
