Grande Ronde-A-View Car Show

Union County Timber Cruisers Car Club is hosting its eighth annual “Grande Ronde-A-View Weekend” Car Show sponsored by Baxter Auto Parts, MJ Goss Motors, The Marketplace, La Grande Gold & Silver, and Laurence’s Auto Body & Paint in historic downtown La Grande on July 17-19, 2015.



Registration will start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at Riverside Park where participants will be treated to a barbeque dinner to start the weekend event.



On Saturday, July 18, the car show will be held on Adams Ave in downtown La Grande from 9 am until 2:30 p.m. Following the car show, a Poker Cruise throughout the beautiful Grande Ronde valley will be offered ending at the Senior Center for a dinner. Each participant will receive two free dinner tickets; the dinner will run from 5 – 7 p.m. To end the fun filled day, a Cruise for Cash will be held throughout the downtown area from 7 – 9 p.m. with $20 given away every 10 minutes.



This year The Union County Timber Cruisers Car Club of La Grande is proud to announce that Internationally recognized automotive artist Dennis Hoyt who now resides in the Grande Ronde Valley, will be creating the 'Participants Favorite' award at this year’s car show. The Car Club has decided to go beyond what is expected for this year’s event and create three truly unique 'one of a kind' sculptures. The winner as judged by the participants will choose his/her favorite of the three sculptures. The remaining two will be offered for sale at the 2015 Pebble Beach AFAS art exhibit. The sculptures will represent the 1940 Ford. Mr. Hoyt has been a member of the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS) since 1987.



On Sunday morning at 10 a.m. everyone is invited to join together for coffee and donuts at The Gas Station on Adams before heading home or they can join the Union County Timber Cruisers Car Club for another valley cruise and lunch at a location to be later determined.

This event is in conjunction with La Grande’s Crazy Day celebration. Along with the car show, there will be participant games, poker walk, raffle, music, plus other activities happening throughout the day associated with Crazy Days: Fireman's breakfast, sidewalk sales, American Legion Riders Rally, Farmer's Market, games, vendors, to name a few things.
