21st Annual Thanksgiving Day Food Drive

Performance Plus Tire & Automotive Superstore is gearing up to prepare for their 21st annual Thanksgiving Day Food Drive. The annual food drive, set to take place Sunday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. to 11:00am. It will be held at their “locally world famous” retail store location at 3910 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, Calif. Along with joining in the assembly line to pack boxes volunteers will be able to: admire the vintage vehicles on display at the “Hot Rod Happening”; listen to live music from the “Jazz Angels” and enjoy the complimentary coffee and donuts.
Over the past 21 years, Performance Plus Tire has fed more than 10,000 families. This year, the tire business has a goal of helping 600 local needy families. To achieve this goal, Performance Plus is asking people to help in any of the following ways:
* Attend the food drive on Nov. 11th to help pack the boxes.
* Send a check of any amount to Performance Plus Tire. All donations are used to purchase food in bulk. Performance Plus only distributes the food to preselected non-profit agencies.
* Purchase opportunity tickets for $1 a ticket for their big give-a-way prize. (see store for details)
* Drop off non-perishable food to the store before the food drive.
