24th annual California Mille Preview, 11 AM- 6 PM Nob Hill. 75 historic race cars (1927-1957) that could have qualified for Italy's most famous race, the Mille Miglia (thousand mile), on display on Mason St. between Sacramento and California Sts.
Italian Consul General Mauro Battocchi will greet the fans at 2 PM, Ron Borelli's Italian Band will provide music. Meet the drivers, see the cars. Free. www.californiamille.com. Cars depart at 8:30 AM April 28 for a 4-day, 1000-mile back roads adventure commemorating the Mille Miglia.
