*** Bob as a Vehicle Enthusiast***
Bob, owner of Flatline Kustoms, has enjoyed his own show vehicles and has assisted Chicagoland vehicle enthusiasts with their dream vehicles, for decades. Flatline Kustoms was one of the first Chicagoland All Wheel Show Series and BGV Motorsports Sponsors and Bob has created custom awards for BGV charity car shows over the years. In addition, Bob and his wife Melissa have donated their time to help out many friends with events, for worthy causes in the community.

***Bob’s Battle with Cancer***
Bob has been battling health issues since a 2019 physical, when his doctor discovered a lung and neck mass, thought to be benign. After a successful lung surgery, and a neck surgery that became delayed due to Illinois COVID restrictions for elective surgeries, it was discovered that Bob had a rare and aggressive cancer – Stage III Acinic Cell Carcinoma. This tumor wrapped around his facial nerve, causing paralysis of the left side of his face, affecting his eyesight, speech and mouth. Additional cancer was detected and was treated with the removal of 52 lymph nodes, followed by 33 radiation treatments and six chemo treatments. Through various treatments, Bob has also developed Cushing’s Syndrome, recently placing him in the hospital for eight days. Bob is also in need of additional, experimental (and costly) treatments not covered by insurance, with all personal resources having been exhausted. (For more details about Bob’s story, please check out his GoFundMe page).
