The first Hot Rod Takeover Car Show and Festival takes place on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 in Victoria, Texas. In partnership with the City of Victoria, the event will be held in Deleon Plaza, located at 101 N. Main Street.

At the car show, several hundred vehicles are expected to be on display. There will be awards for Best in Show, Judges’ Pick, Top 40 and Peoples’ Choice.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and admission is free. Along with the cars, there will be vendors, food booths and games.

There will also be free live rockabilly music starting at 11:00 a.m. Music line-up includes The Octanes, The Phantom Shakers and Ready Betty.

Show creator and producer, Joel Aaron Gammage, says he is excited to bring this family friendly event to Victoria.

“We have had great success with the Hot Rods and Hatters show in Lockhart, and we are thrilled to bring a show to this part of Texas. We have partnered with several hotels for great rates. The car show and live music are fun for all ages, and with the Texas Zoo and parks not far from the plaza, it’s a day the whole family can enjoy.”

The car show is judged. Cost to register is 25 dollars online or 30 dollars at the gate on the day of show. Veterans and active EMS, fire and police members can purchase a discounted entry of 15 dollars online or at the gate.
