GTACC is a non profit 501(c)(7) Social and Recreation Club and a proud member of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. The club is a regular participant of the Red Poppy and Christmas Stroll parades, and supports local festivals, promotions and charitable events whenever possible. GTACC awards the "Bob Olofson Memorial Scholarship" to graduating Georgetown and East View High School seniors who have successfully completed the Automotive Technology Program and have committed to continuing their formal education. Most of the money for this, and for the other charitable causes GTACC supports, is raised at the GTACC Car Show, held annually in May. This event is growing every year, and is rapidly developing a reputation for one of the best organized and enjoyable car shows in the central Texas area.
