Egyptian Antique Auto Club

The Egyptian Antique Auto Club (EAAC) was organized in 1968 by a group of men from Southern Illinois who had an intense love of original antique automobiles. Meeting together on a monthly basis, they shared information about their cars and gathered together to drive their vehicles throughout the area as a means of introducing their passion to the communities they visited. This passion and love of all vehicles, especially antique automobiles, continues today through the current membership. Their purpose is to increase the knowledge of the history and workings of antique automobiles and to enjoy the creation of all vehicles regardless of its make, model or age. By driving and displaying their vehicles they present to communities the opportunity to view quality examples of a piece of our transportation history. Membership in the Club is open to all who love antique vehicles. Ownership of an antique automobile is not a requirement for membership. Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at Bandana's Restaurant in Carbondale, Illinois at 6:00 PM. Club activities include hosting 2 Swap Meets annually and an antique car show. Tours, cruises, cookouts and other activities are held throughout the year.
