Columbia Classic Chevy Club

The club was formed in 1983 primarily for 1955 to 1957 Chevrolet enthusiasts interested in the preservation and restoration of these classic Chevrolets. Around 1990, model years were expanded to include up to 1972 models. Recently the club opened its membership to enthusiasts of all years of Chevrolets. Ownership of a classic Chevrolet is not a requirement. The club limits its membership to approximately to 35 members and their families. Meetings are usually held the first Sunday of each month. Currently dues for membership are twenty dollars per year per family. A newsletter, The Classic News, is published monthly providing information regarding upcoming shows and events. Events hosted by the club are: one car show, two Old Car Drop-Ins, and eight monthly cruise-ins, and a Toy Drop in December. All currently held at Woodberry Plaza on Highway 1 in West Columbia, South Carolina. Additionally, as a club, members attend cruise-ins, car shows, and parades sponsored by other organizations as well as provide classic Chevrolets for displays for worthy causes. Most of the proceeds from our events are donated to charities. Currently, the most prominent beneficiary is the Childrens Garden of Columbia
