Central SC Mustang Club
Central South Carolina Mustang Club (CSCMC) was established in December 1978 with
only a handful of members. Today, we have members from all over the Central South
Carolina area belong to this known organization. We were the first regional group in
the state and the seventeenth in the world. Respected not only for automotive
expertise but a willingness to help each other maintain and restore this special breed
of automobile.
Central South Carolina Mustang Club is also a regional chapter of the Mustang Club of
America (MCA). Annual MCA membership is separate from Central South Carolina
Mustang Club dues. MCA provides a monthly magazine, the Mustang Times, to each
member and discounts on MCA national events.
The purpose of the club is to encourage, stimulate and promote interest in the
preservation and restoration of the Mustang, Boss, Shelby, Saleen and Cobra Cars for
the years 1964-1/2 to the present.
Most important of all, Central South Carolina Mustang Club provides fellow Mustang
owners an opportunity to get to know people that share a common interest in
Mustangs of any year. Members have varied interests in regard to their Mustangs,
some like concours-all original; others prefer modified-A little or A lot. Some members
are into racing their ponies and others just like to take their ponies to car shows.
Members own a wide variety of Mustangs-from the oldest to the newest. Whatever
Mustang like, you will probably have something in common with one of our members.
One thing we all have in common is the Love and Enjoyment of Mustangs.
Central South Carolina Mustang Club offers the Mustang and Ford enthusiast many
activities year round. Some examples include Monthly meetings, an Annual Picnic,
Several Cruise-Ins, and a Christmas Party. The Club also hosts a Regional Car show
each year. Members are also encouraged to attend car cruise nights and other shows
in their local area.
Central South Carolina Mustang Club -sponsored car shows have judged classes for
everyone from the concours; all original car to the clean street driven, modified or
daily driver. Other classes are available for other Ford Motor Co. products such as the
Mustang, Boss, Shelby, Saleen, Cobra Cars, T-Birds, and Trucks.
Central South Carolina Mustang Club keeps its members informed with a monthly
newsletter, its website, and via an e-mail notification system. The club newsletter,
The Pony Tales, keeps members informed of upcoming events, classified section for
members to advertise cars and parts, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and New Members.
The Central South Carolina Mustang Club is the first regional club of Mustang Club of America
in the state of South Carolina and the seventeenth in the world.
