Altamont Cruisers

The Altamont Cruisers Car Club's motto is "Cruisers Against Drugs", and we mean it. The purpose of the club is to raise money for many worthy community causes, but our emphasis is on causes that benefit the young people of our community and help them avoid drugs. We use our own interest in restoring, customizing and preserving classic cars to be able to enable us to put on an annual Car Show in Livermore California. The show has grown significantly to 650 to 700 cars and over 5000 visitors every year. Our main fundraiser is the annual Nostalgia Day Car Show and it has allowed us to raise nearly $300,000 to support worthy causes and to help keep kids off of drugs. The club also holds FREE monthly Cruise-In's (car shows) on the last Saturday of each month, from May to September that are open to anyone with an old car. Our club is extremely active. We have a wide variety of social activities, and since we are "cruisers", we have many events that give us the opportunity to take our cars out for a cruise as a group. Our general membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30pm to 9:00pm, at the Livermore Police Dept. Community Room 1110 S. Livermore Ave, Livermore, CA 94550. Our meetings are open to the public.
