DESCRIPTION
This vehicle has a standard cab with an 8 bed / power steering / power brakes / working factory air / tinted glass / ABS / efficient V6 (4.3L) engine / 4-speed automatic (with OD)/ and only 203K miles
I have owned this truck for 17+ years, and it has been stored in my barn for most of the last 9 years. It has been scrupulously maintained, regularly started, and moved. The transmission, torque converter, starter, flywheel and exhaust system were replaced before I bought it. I suspected the engine had also been rebuilt, given its condition and the fact it burns no oil, but I couldnt find that documentation.
Over the years I owned it, I replaced the radiator, thermostat, water pump, alternator, starter, radiator hoses, muffler, brake lines, fuel pump / filter / sensor, front calipers and rotors, brake pads, emergency brake cables, and the rear brake cylinders and shoes.
The truck runs well, has been extremely reliable, has no leaks, burns no oil, and gets 17 18 mpg. It has tinted windows, a sliding rear window, full bed liner, and a high windowed truck cap (Leer equivalent). It is equipped with a new tiltable bench seat with storage behind and under the seat.
The truck has a brand new upgraded stereo (CD/Digital/MPS), running boards, and 5 new oversize tires (Firestone Firehawk SS20 P255 70R15).
The truck is in original condition with some scratches, no dents, and is rust free except at real wheel arches, rocker panels and cab lower rear corners. The undercarriage is relatively rust free.
The 1967-1972 GMC/Chevrolet trucks are very desirable and highly sought after. Parts availability is superb. Accordingly, these vehicles make excellent investments and very fine project vehicles. These trucks hold their resale value well and make excellent daily drivers.
This truck is 25 years old, and will qualify as a historic vehicle, eligible for reduced license and insurance rates.
I have extensive documentation over the lifetime of this vehicle.
I recently received a 4wd pickup from my son that better meets my needs in Winter, and no longer need this vehicle.
The rear shock absorbers need to be replaced.
