This is a beautiful 1955 pickup truck. It is a ton, 2nd series, step side with an 8 foot bed. I am the 3rd owner and have owned it since 1975. The engine is an original 235 Cubic Inch six cylinder Owens which was rebuilt back in 1976 when it had 70,000 miles on it and now it has only 82,000 miles on the truck. This is the 2nd time painted and was finished in 2009. The wheels and tires were replaced then and are in excellent condition.

It has the large wrap around rear window glass. It has a 4 speed on the floor. It has an aftermarket OEM floor rubber mat on top of the floor steel all repainted black, doors are painted black, new rubber boot on gear shit, new peddle rubbers, dash is original, I have a new chrome bezel frame not installed) for around gauges, added a tachometer on dash, glove box and dash is painted white, heater core is painted black, header rubber is good, AM/FM CD stereo. Speakers are in front cab side panels. Seat is a bench seat from a 70''s Monte Carlo with lap belts. Cab steps have been fiberglass reinforced and painted black, doors need hinge pins and bushings replaced to get better alignment. Doors do open and close but could be better by doing the hinges. Rubber around wing vents is getting very dried out and cracked but none is missing. glass is all good with just a few scratches in the rear window behind the driver. Gas tank is good and rubber goose neck does not leak. I have new aftermarket door handles (not installed) Originals are very pitted but functional.

It has very good brakes with new wheel cylinders and shoes were put on 10 years ago but only have about 1,500 miles on them. Also done 10 years ago was the current paint job, new wheels and tires, a new radiator, water pump hoses and new heater core, Under the white canvas cover is 1/2 inch plywood in very solid condition. I have new door handles, chrome bezel plate for around the dash gauges. electric wiper motor all not installed but all come with the truck. New wiper arms are installed, the wipers are stock aftermarket, the stock vacuum motor is still installed. I have an after market tailgate on the truck but also have the original. Aftermarket rear bumper, front is original. The motor runs great with about 12,000 on the motor which was rebuilt in 1976 just before I bought it.

Doors need hinge pins and bushing to better align them. Wing vents will need new rubber weather stripping and some missing rubber grommets in the firewall. Was going to do all that with installation of a new wiring harness but have not done so. All lights work except for a turn signal indicator in the dash and the cab light does not work but I have an aftermarket one to be installed.

The bed is not finished but is covered with a white canvas cover with aluminum support slats. I have the original tail gate, oil bath air cleaner and (1) split rim for a spare tire.

When I first got this truck, I tore off the bed and sandblasted it all just prior to its 1st repaint job in 1978. The frame and body were undercoated by Zebart Rustproofing company.
