DESCRIPTION

For consignment, a 1986 Chevrolet pickup truck that has had nearly every mechanical aspect updated, replaced or rebuilt. A freshly rebuilt 350ci small block V8 mill, Turbo 350 transmission, new exhaust, some super fly clear coated patina paint, and a completely new interior. Let\'s just say have a look and I\'m sure you will be impressed, as I was, and definitely had a yearning to look into this truck deeper.

Due to modifications of the emissions control devices installed by the manufacturer, please check your local, state, and federal laws to determine if this vehicle is applicable for use on public highways in your area.*

Exterior
Classic Chevrolet trucks from the 80\'s are quite the hot item these days. Any classic truck is for that matter, but truth be told, it\'s the boxy retro look that people are after, and this truck is the epitome of that design. A custom black straight horizontal ribbed grille with its stacked inset LED headlights and parking light setup on either side, all tucked safely behind the grille. Shiny and mirror-like would best describe the bumper below. This beautiful setup fronts straight steel, with well minded gaps, all bathed in a patinated original light blue that has been clear coated to preserve the finish. Dents and dings abound but no rust is seen and the fenders wear 10 Scottsdale badging just to grab you and make you move closer! Good chrome attachments are on the doors in the form of mirrors, and handles and a stainless molding runs stem to stern and divides the light blue upper body from the blackened lower. All glass surrounds have been blackened. The long bed version is finished in a clear coat over the factory paint and shows signs of usage but clearly no abuse. 15-inch deep dish drilled wheels have 5 chromed bolts, and are wrapped with staggered width rubber.

Interior
The blue theme continues with the nicely presenting molded plastic, carpeted and broadcloth shod door panels. Our consignor notes new dark blue map pockets have been added and set off the factory panel and black insert splendidly. Slipping inside a new covered in blue vinyl bench welcomes us and two other passengers if needed. The original blue dash sports a shiny showroom look with new bezeled gauges in front of the original style steering wheel which has a bowtie horn button in the center. All the other essentials are mounted within this dash front, and just below a trio of extra aftermarket gauges for more monitoring of the essentials. New blue carpeting for the floors and above is a dark blue perforated vinyl headliner with a lightly smoked rear sliding window.

Drivetrain
Under the hood is simply put: \"eye candy\" in the form of a rebuilt 350ci V8. This mill sports traditional orange/red paint for the block and heads, an aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor plus a new fuel pump. Black and red valve covers and a chrome lidded open element air cleaner are on for the dress up. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is on back, along with a 10-bolt rear axle. Also seen are shiny headers all within a done but not overdone black and blue engine bay with a new alternator recently installed. A new radiator, fan shroud and hoses are one...Smoke \'em if you got \'em!

Undercarriage
True to worker bee truck form, a mix of patina, solid steel, blue paint overspray and black undercoating wash over the underside landscape. For the front, independent coil springs with new ball joints are on and the rear has leaf springs. Power disc brakes with new calipers and pads are on front, and power drums for the rear. A shiny dual exhaust with stock style mufflers dual tips ending behind each rear tire is also seen. We note the absence of the factory installed catalytic converter.

Drive-Ability
Firing this truck up, you will be met with a surprising roar as it settles into a healthy rumbling idle. It certainly accelerates smoothly and quickly, stops on a dime and cruises very nicely to boot. All functions were working just perfectly save for the heater blower and the AC not blowing cold as the AC system has been removed.

A fine overall restoration job for the exterior and interior. Certainly not perfect on the exterior end of things, but that isn\'t what our consignor was going for. Preservation of the history of the body was the target and I must admit, it looks absolutely fabulous. The new engine is all blinged out, and the engine bay is simply...well wonderful! I could use my pickup line right now, but I digress, and will just say a classic truck will not get any better in our Hallowed Halls than this baby. Ready to haul anything, even some serious ass!
