DESCRIPTION
This 1959 Ford F-100 Custom Cab has a very vintage style, and you can even see there were plenty of investments to make sure cruising down the road feels like turning back the clock.
A true classic starts with the best colors. The red and white two-tone was the kind of style available from Ford, but the luster it has today tells you there was a nice investment later in life. You can tell this whole pickup was given a thorough older restoration. So you have a sharp-looking style that also has the right maturity to keep this pickup from accusations of being a trailer queen. It\'s the kind of true classic that\'s meant to go out on jaunty trips. The clean panels give a nice crease to divide the two colors, and the chrome bumpers and grille put a shining face forward. So it gives you a great vintage style. Vintage also means being handy with a useful long bed and provisions for cab running lights. In fact, the most modern thing you may find on the exterior is the liner paint in the bed and that has even been painted over to fully coordinate with the two-tone.
The two-tone gets even more intricate for the interior. The white door panels have red inserts, the red seat has white piping, and the dash is an equal split of the two hues. It makes this all look rather stylish, especially with its extra-clean impression. The moment you slip behind the large and thin steering wheel, you really feel in command of a true classic truck. The wraparound windshield, simple gauges, and tall shifter basically turn back the clock to the 1950s.
The engine bay keeps the time capsule feeling going with a clean style and vintage details, like the oil bath air cleaner. At the center is a bold blue 223 cubic-inch inline six. It\'s a smooth and eager running motor, but it\'s not made for speed. Still, there\'s something fun about the four-speed manual transmission with a low first gear that loves to maximize the torque right from the start. Add in a newer exhaust, simple suspension components, and more modern touring tires, and this is ready for a nice brisk pace on a country byway.
This is a very clean and very fun two-tone pickup. There are plenty of details you can improve if you so desire - everything from restoring the lights to adding big V8 power. But that\'s more about taking a classic and making it an updated cruiser. And right now there\'s already desirability in this truck\'s authenticity. That\'s why you love it, and that\'s why you need to call today!
