It's hard not to get excited about this 1988 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat if you're a truck person. It's a loaded/premium Lariat with vintage style, a terrific interior, cold-blowing A/C, and a fuel-injected version of one of the best workhorse powerhouses around.

These square-body F-150s look great in Lariat trim. It adds the right touches of chrome, added trim, and upgraded wheels to make the beefy lines also look sophisticated. Red is a great color for attention, and this respray has an aged style that isn't afraid to get to work. And this one really shows off its respect in the clean body lines, good panels, and how the doors close with confidence. So you could always use the value price to invest in a respray, but we already like how the overall style ideally represents a pickup that has earned its patina-like reverence. And a truck like this still has an exceptionally useful side. That's why you have dual fuel tanks, a nice bed liner, and a proper trailer hitch.

The red interior is a stand-out part of this pickup. There is a clean look to the dash pad, readouts, and headliner to suggest more recent investments here. And everything has a clean and comfortable style. It's a loaded Lariat with power windows, cruise control, a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, a tilt steering column, and cold-blowing air conditioning. This even has the right extras for true pickup fun, like the bench seat with a folding armrest and a sliding rear window.

Under the hood is the 4.9-liter inline-six. We love these for their hardy reputation that rivals diesel trucks. So while it is unknown if the odometer reflects the actual mileage, what you really care about is a nearly indestructible reputation that's also now given modern fuel injection. It's a true torque king that loves to get the job done, but the inherent smooth nature of the inline setup also makes it a good cruiser. So do the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes.

Complete with owner's manual, this has a cool mix of the best real truck ability and the right comfort features. That makes for an irresistible classic. Call now!
