For sale is a 1974 Ford F100 Custom pickup truck. This is a 4 wheel drive, shortbed model, with a 4 speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 130,000 miles and I believe it to be accurate.
Engine – original 360 cubic inch FE motor, completely rebuilt 4000 miles ago, bored .060” over stock, with an Edelbrock Performer camshaft, aluminum intake manifold, and 4 barrel carburetor and dual Cherry Bomb exhausts. The truck also has a lift kit with helper springs. This truck runs like new, and if you know how durable these FE motors are, you will understand the value in it.
Original 4 speed manual transmission, with the granny or creeper first gear. This transmission and motor combination will pull like a freight train. The clutch is strong and problem free, just like the New Process 4 wheel drive transfer case. I believe it is a NP205 Transfer Case. Warn lock out hubs are on the front axles.
Power steering is provided by Ford “Power Assist” steering, however a GM Saginaw pump was fitted onto the system to provide higher pressure and volume making the system more efficient and reliable. All components are fresh within the past 5,000 miles. A hinged Extang tonneau cover completes the exterior and keeps curious eyes out of the bed.
This truck leaves no drip marks underneath it when you park it, meaning it leaks NOTHING.
Tires are 33x12.5-15 Cooper Discoverer mounted on American Racing five spoke Aluminum rims, all being new with the last 3000 miles.
Radiator is also new within the past 3000 miles. The original power steering pump, 2 barrel iron intake manifold and carburetor, are included as is a Ford drivers side OEM front fender which is excellent condition.
This truck has current PA state inspection, performed in April 2021.
This truck was originally sold at a dealer in Utah, meaning it has not been exposed to the salt and brine commonly used on the East Coast during the Winter. Please keep in mind, this truck is 47 years old and does show signs of use, has some surface rust in places, a few dings and dents from normal truck use spanning 4 decades. Overall I consider this truck in very good condition.
