This 1960 Morris Minor 1000 pickup has a cool look on the outside, custom comfort on the inside, and an all-around sharp style. But then you look under the hood. It\'s got a hot Italian twin-cam motor! And you have a five-speed, four-wheel disc brakes, and nimble steering to enjoy it to the fullest.
If you\'re British, then this is a pure nostalgia machine (and if you\'re not this is just a very cool presentation.) The Morris Minor is the car that helped put Britain on wheels, even before the Mini. The pickup is an interesting factory variation that really helped bring back business after WWII. And with the bed liner paint surrounding the real-wood truck bed, this one can still be everything from your weekend chore friend, to one of the most attention-grabbing business vehicles around. But there\'s more going on here. The British Racing Green paint is a great sporty color and those minilite-style wheels hint at the added fun you can have with this one all on its own.
The interior is a great mixture of vintage and upgrades. It starts with the two classic-style bucket seats that are now finished in supple leather. The vintage-style dash still keeps the center gauges, but now you have a full Classic Instruments gauges package. And just below that is an R134a air conditioning system (it may just need a recharge to blow ideally cold again.) Plus, the wood-rimmed sports steering wheel and low shifter get you ready for some driving fun.
The engine bay is a terrific upgrade that still keeps this classic true European. It\'s a twin-cam motor, and the logo on the top leads us to believe it was a 1.8-liter borrowed from a Fiat 124 Spider. So you\'ll love it for its beautiful style and wonderful revving nature. And you get to take the best advantage of it thanks to an upgrade to a five-speed manual transmission. The light/nimble steering of the original Morris remains, and now the feeling is enhanced further with wide modern tires and four-wheel disc brakes.
Every once in a while you get a chance to see a small car with a lot of personality, and so this Minor must be Herbie the Love Bug\'s devilish cousin. It\'s a one-of-a-kind that won\'t disappoint. Call today!!!
