The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford Motor Company from the 1973 to 1979 model years. This generation marks the introduction of the F-150 and the SuperCab extended-cab body. Introduced in 1975, the F-150 would ultimately replace the F-100, becoming the most popular version of the F-Series. After several years of delays, the second generation of the Ford Bronco was released (as a shortened version of the F-100).

In 1977, the Ford F-Series became the best-selling truck in the United States, a position it has held ever since.
