DESCRIPTION
This World War II Buffalo C fire truck that from what I can find is one of only 120 made. It was built by Chevy in 1941 1 1/2 ton and put into service and titled as a 1943.These were used domestically at air bases during the War and only a small amount remain. It has all the Corps ID plates and is a running truck that is solid as a rock. I have been torn about selling it but it really should be restored and be used in Parades or rented out for Movies etc. The USA 505109 number is barely visable on the hood but is there so it can be put back. I have sandblasted what looked like the worst rust spots and it cleaned up without holes with the exception of the door bottoms and they are a pretty easy fix.. The bed is basically plate and solid. For the price I will blast the whole truck if desired. I also have the Army Olive Drab green paint for it. I do have the 43 headlights and some equipment like Brass Nozzles and hoses , reel, tank holders and the pump covers etc. Also 2 new tires. I also have a 235 HV 6 cyl motor that I was thinking of putting into it for better usage and keeping the matching motor for historical purposes. It will bolt right in and look the same with a short water pump.It all goes with it but is up to the new owner which way they want to go with it.The red primer in the pictures is original with the green coming off over the years. All the glass is there but some is damaged. The side glass has all its tracks and does roll up and down.I can send more picture to interested parties.
