DESCRIPTION
1949 Chevrolet series 4100 with unique custom wooden bed with...back in the day quality custom fold down wooden bedsides. This truck lot runs and drives & It has the granny four-speed. The truck looks like it just came out of the 60s and it looks to have been always shedded or garaged. The truck bed was manufactured in Denver Colorado and it has a couple of 3 inch x 4 inch identification plates noting that company name. All six of the 20 inch tires have probably 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch deep tread but the tires are older, but all are up and hold air and have held air for several weeks while in transit to my location. The seat I am sure has been recovered but it was recovered probably back in the 60s or 70s with that heavy medium brown Naugahyde and is still in perfect condition. The complete headliner is still in place, its that heavy painted cardboard style with a couple of metal factory bows holding it in place, although it is sagging in a couple places. It has the original vacuum wipers. The chrome clad glove box still operates & the cardboard glovebox liner is still intact and in place and probably full of a lot of the information about the trucks history. The front bumper is definitely a custom-made bumper and bumper guard assembly and is in excellent condition. The paint on the truck looks to be the original factory green paint with the factory silver 1/4 inch wide pinstriping on the grill. Condition of the paint is great for its age and looks great it a few feet back. The only rust on the truck are probably the (2) 2 x 3 spots on the bottom of the front fenders right above the runningboards and thats it ( our pictures will highlight those areas). The truck is missing the two steel door panel pieces that cover the window regulator mechanism and doorhandle mechanism but they may show up with the rest of the parts. It does have the original wooden sideboard extensions that make the bedsides taller and they are in great condition with the exception being the a few boards on the tailgate extension.
This truck would make a very unique business advertising tool. And it would be great for a fall festival display/pumpkin patch with pumpkins on it or a business w/its products displayed in the bed of truck with the sides down.
I will have the truck in at my car lot sometime during the week of the 6th of October. And I will post more information and pictures at that time.
