This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 makes a terrific vintage first impression, but it doesn't take long to see all the investments in upgrades. So enjoy the metallic paint, comfy interior, V8 power, and much more that makes this quite an interesting total package.
The bright grille, chrome bumpers, and two-piece windshield of the upright cab all give this the look of a true classic. And that's even truer on the red wheels with two-piece trim and iconic whitewalls. The details also have an awesome vintage feeling, including the trim and steel running boards. But then you start to notice the hint of metallic in the dark green paint. This upgrade does a terrific job of highlighting the classic curves every time sunshine finds this sheetmetal. And the bed was given a careful application of liner paint earlier this year. So while this truck is all about looking good, you can genially haul something special (or just showcase it all on its own.)
Inside, this retains the classic art deco look on the dash. Plus, all the metal pieces are properly painted to match the exterior. But you'll also notice some nice upgrades. After all, the factory never gave you a plush cloth bench like this one . And the other tan pieces offer more comfort, like the padded door panels and carpeting. The Grant sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and that tall shifter is easy to reach. Plus, there are some more great upgrades, like later model gauges and auxiliary readouts that let you know there's something special under the hood.
Chevy wasn't into the small block V8 era in '49, so you can instantly see this engine bay has been upgraded. This 283 cubic-inch unit inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as headers add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. More than just an upgrade in power, this was upgraded to be a great all-around driver. That means an independent front suspension, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and a three-speed automatic transmission.
Complete with maintenance records, this 3100 offers a great mix of vintage looks with all the right upgrades. So it's a great total package that's ready to run right now. Call today!!!
