DESCRIPTION

1953 Chevrolet BelAir

When Chevrolet first put out the BelAir name in 1950 they might not have realized it but they made history. In later years the BelAir would rise to be one of the most recognizable classic vehicle names every introduced. They became the poster car for the 50's and even most non car enthusiasts can pick them out of a line up. When first used the BelAir designated all the two door hardtops in the full size Chevrolet model range. However, that change in 1953 when the BelAir name graduated from just a particular body style to being a premium trim level applied to the various body styles available. The BelAir design changed drastically throughout its run. Fenders began becoming slowly more incorporated into the body and every year seemed to bring something new to differentiate them from just a year prior. This 1953 Chevy is a beautifully built car and based on the "C" in its VIN is a true original BelAir. The current owner purchased the car and completely redid it from front to rear. They have built many classics over the years and do it right. The body is all rust free and solid throughout. It is painted in a very nice CCP Emerald Green that has a great shine. It comes to life out in the sun where the pearl really starts to pop. The car has new 1 piece chrome bumpers and all of the chrome/stainless has been replated and polished. The glass is all new and has a Green tint. All of the electrical is working properly with all new wiring and LED 1954 Chevrolet tail lights have been added in back. The American Racing Torq Thrust wheels have a beautiful shine and tuck nicely under the fenders. They are wrapped with Diamond Back White Wall tires which are new. On the rear fender you will note between the trim is a White painted accent which pairs perfectly with the White Walls just below. This car really looks awesome in person and our pictures don't do it justice.

This definitely isn't one of those where exterior looks were all that matters because under the hood this thing is just as clean. It is very clear that nothing has been ignored throughout the build process. The original 6 cylinder has been swapped out for a 350 GM crate motor has around 300 miles since installation as does the rest of the build. It has been dressed up nicely with chrome Chevrolet valve covers and a chrome dual snorkel air cleaner. It has dual headers with exhaust which deliver a great sound. The car runs cool even in Texas heat with an aluminum radiator with 2 Cooling Component fans and shroud. The engine compartment has a great appearance in general with a painted to match firewall and Black inner fenders. Mounted to the firewall is a chrome dual master cylinder with proportioning valve. Combined with the motor is a smooth shifting 700R transmission (with trans cooler) that sends power back through a new drive shaft to the 8 inch Ford rear end. It has 3:08 gearing and was built with all new parts. At 70-75 miles per hour it tachs around 2000 rpm so highway cruising can be done very comfortably. Other nice upgrades include the TCI front suspension and new gas tank with new lines and filters.

The interior on the car is all brand new and done in a very nice Beige leather. It has an adjustable split bench in front with pleated inserts as well as a bench in rear. The custom door panels are done to match with nice stainless trim and all chrome hardware. The headliner is high quality and tight with nice polished cross bows. The carpet is done in Green to match the paint and it's clear it was freshly installed. The dash is all cleanly painted and the original Chevrolet trim and glove box door have a beautiful shine. The gauge pod has the original layout but after market white face Dakota Digital gauges have been added and include the analogue speedometer, fuel, amp, temperature, and oil pressure gauges. It even incorporates a tachometer and digital odometer. An underdash section was added to house the Vintage AC/Heat and the Pioneer AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/Aux stereo. The tilt column is painted Emerald Green as well and topped off with a custom reduced size 15 inch 1956 steering wheel. Those modifications are a nice touch and really go well with the rest of the car. The Lokar shifter is routed through the floor and moves through the gears smoothly. The trunk has all new upholstery as well and looks great.

This is a beautifully built '53 BelAir that was just completed. This is your chance to get a new build without the cost and difficulty involved with building yourself or having one built. There is no doubt there are many trophies in its future. In fact the first and only show it has been to was the Dallas Autorama in 2022 where it took home 1st in its class and the ISCA Street Achievement Award for a Traditional Vehicle. The original skirts have been painted and come with the car along with some of the original trim pieces.

This beauty could be yours for $59,750.00!
