1929 Ford 4-door Briggs Standard Sedan
Model 165 B 3 Window Briggs Body
An older restoration that has had many convenience and safety features added. Beautiful Le Barron interior with carpeted rear floor, insulated firewall, interior overhead light, seat belts front and rear, new ignition switch and cable to distributor, new amp gauge and ignition wires from dash to firewall terminal box. Amp, fuel gauge and speedometer all work as does the Ahhoooga horn. LED driving lights mounted on the front bumper, front and rear turn signals with 4-ways, LED third brake / turn signal light mounted in rear window for added safety. Right side tail light with license plate frame added for extra safety and 1929 plate display. Accessory charging plug for cell phone or GPS. Engine runs excellent after turning on the battery disconnect located in the engine compartment, 12 volt negative ground power is maintained by a new battery, alternator and gear reduction starter. Electrical system is protected by a 5 position fuse block mounted on the alternator. The carburetor and distributor have been rebuilt
and the distributor now has modern points and condenser; air is filtered by a Hi-Boy K&N filter providing better air filtration and helps to prevent a backfire gas fire in the engine compartment. The glass fuel bowl has a new style paper filter to better filter the fuel. New Stainless steel lower water pipe to help prevent engine, radiator and coolant contamination. The upper pipe houses a thermostat and sensor for engine temperature gauge and attached to that is a new leak-less water pump with a 6 blade plastic fan. All new radiator hoses, engine and radiator flushed and new antifreeze installed. Oil breather tube added to direct fumes out of the engine
compartment. A new style no-nut manifold to exhaust pipe clamp installed to help prevent exhaust leaks. All lights are in good working order. All wood is good as is the non leaking top. New cast iron brake drums with FHT Floaters x-4, new shoes x-4, new front bearings and Firestone 21 inch WW Tires. Now for driving comfort, the body has been insulated and air conditioning has been installed keeping you and your passengers cool and comfortable when touring the beautiful back roads of this country on those steamy hot summer days.
This Model A is 90 years old and is a driver, I have driven it to Peoria IL, Amana IA and on many back road trips throughout IL and WI, it has some minor oil leaks, dents and scratches (patina) but is a very solid car. Great fun to drive and show, its (patina) draws a lot of attention. Sold
with a completely dressed spare 31 engine from the fan to the U-joint. Numbers matching car, original block never filed and re-stamped.
