DESCRIPTION
Finished in 2014 after a 5-year build, the 1941 Willys Coupe features an Outlaw fiberglass body adorned in a striking two-tone paint scheme. Deep plum candy and Sweet Georgia peach pearl colors flow across the curves, complemented by expert hand pinstriping and a white gold leaf hood logo. Six layers of base and six coats of clear create remarkable depth after wet sanding between each application. The dual side-exit exhaust adds aggressive visual appeal, while the 17\" Aluminum Budnick wheels wrapped in 215/40R17 front and massive 31x16.50R17 rear tires give the Willys its perfect stance.
The coral European leather interior continues the custom theme with meticulous attention to detail. Comfortable bucket seats provide excellent support, complemented by a full-length floor console upholstered to match. The custom-painted dash features flames that echo the exterior design, while white-face Dolphin analog gauges display vital information. The billet shifter rises from the center console, accompanied by matching billet pedals. A chrome tilt column topped with a Budnick chrome wheel completes the control setup, and even the trunk receives matching upholstery treatment.
The massive 502 cubic inch V8 engine dominates the engine bay, topped with a BDS 871 supercharger and Fast fuel injection system utilizing 16 injectors. Edelbrock aluminum heads enhance performance, while Sanderson long-tube headers feed into glasspack-style mufflers on the side pipes. All this power channels through a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission to a 9-inch rear end with 3.70 gears. The full Outlaw chassis features independent front suspension with tubular control arms, rack and pinion steering, and a four-link rear with Z-bar. Air ride suspension allows adjustable height, while four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors provide stopping power.
