DESCRIPTION
This 1950 Dodge 3 Window Coupe is a true classic custom with outstanding details inside and out. And we all love a good small block V8 under the hood. Best of all, the value price on this distinct classic means you have the opportunity to add your own custom touches to this unique and sleek Dodge.
The Wayfarer design is already an in-demand kind of car because it has a two-person coupe look we didn't see often after WWII. So just like the business coupe cars, this has the ideal proportions for a full custom treatment. You see the work in the lowered stance, baby moon polished wheels, frenched antenna, and shaved door handles. The white streak going down both sides are the ideal match for the roof with white vinyl top. The real trick with this one is that the hardtop is also removable, paying tribute to the idea that the Wayfarer was the last roadster offered to mainstream America. The value price on this one does leave room in your budget to give this a slick high-quality respray to create a true show car, but there's also another direction here. We all love the history of these post-war machines that started to really get attention from guys like George Barris and Dean Jeffries. This car has feelings of that vibe, and it currently is presented with a barn find kind of appearance. So we know there are plenty of you out there already thinking about showing and driving this as a representation of resurrected car culture.
The interior keeps the custom attitude going, and many of the additions were about making this a more comfortable cruiser. For example, you have the classic dash, but now it has controls for an AM/FM/CD stereo and cruise control attached. The seats are upgraded leather buckets borrowed from a later model Dodge. So you get a the cool Mopar connection but with comfy modern bolstering. This even has a center console, cup holders, and a tilt steering column for the Lecarra steering wheel.
Under the hood is a later model 350 cubic-inch V8. It has a touch of the car's big flair days with the painted valve covers. And it's even upgraded for added power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. This was built to be a cruiser, and so you have features like a three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. Plus, this was upgraded to four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is a unique custom machine that's offered with a choose-your-own-adventure price. So if you love the best of the custom car era, you know this one is irresistible. Call today!!!
