DESCRIPTION
This 1977 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT had a cool two-tone style of a true classic. But those large dual exhaust tips should clue you into what this one is really about. There's a well-built small block under the hood that makes this a true performance pickup.
The first impression is just a cool vintage pickup. The silver and red are an attractive color combo, especially with the nice gloss in this later respray. The premium Ranger XLT trim is particularly nice on this one as it highlights the strangeness of the body panels and it provides a dividing line along the side for the two-tone. A bright chrome front bumper, good grille, a clean rear step bumper, and classic polished mag wheels all show there was an eye for keeping this truck looking attractive. And the versatile long bed doesn't even look like it has done any hard work. But those half chrome headlights and large dual exhaust tips start to hint at something a bit more wicked.
The interior has a good look with more red and gray/silver. There are comfortable details, like the velour inserts in the seats, sliding rear window, and retro-style AM/FM digital tune with Bluetooth. This even looks like a factory A/C truck, but most of the components were removed because this one wants to focus on power. You get more hints of that from upgrades like the oil pressure readout and wood-rimmed sports steering wheel.
Under the hood is a strong 351 cubic-inch V8. We were told this could be a 408ci stroker motor, and that it has only a few hundred miles on it since built. We don't have the paperwork to prove it, but it certainly has the healthy power that makes us believers. Plus, there are the right go-fast goodies like aluminum heads, a Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, and headers feeding into a dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. It's an awesome power package that gets even better with a three-speed transmission that features a 2500 stall and the control of a manual valve body. Power steering, power brakes, and front discs are also there for a solid overall driving experience.
The sale comes complete with the dealer invoice and owner's manual. This is the two-tone classic that's built for a ton of extra fun. Call today!!!
