DESCRIPTION

This 1966 Ford Fairlane is one of those great cruisin classics. It has a vintage style and two-tone that\'s pure nostalgic fun. But with upgrades to the V8, interior, and overall driving attitude, it feels like the kind of classic that could turn any day into a Sunday.

This was a standout year for the Fairlane. The quad headlights of the previous year were now turned vertical to give this a taller, more substantial presence. The body design had a bit more of a kick-up at the rear, which gave it a sportier personality. Overall, this new Fairlane was arguably one of Ford\'s most attractive designs of the 1960s because it offered an elegant simplicity that had a hint of European influence. But no one does a two-tone quite like a classic American. The tan with white roof looks like the butterscotch pudding with whipped cream topping you\'d get at your favorite diner. And it\'s not about being a perfect finish, but rather the kind that looks good out on the streets but never makes you nervous. In other words, this one is easy to take to your favorite diner, even if it\'s a few towns away. We love all the classic details, like the wraparound chrome bumpers, 289 callouts on the lower fender, and full-length trim. But those Bullitt Mustang GT-style 17-inch alloys also are there to signal it\'s a better modern cruiser.

The interior has the right look for a clean car that\'s easy to enjoy. This one is well preserved in the right places. So you have classic elements like the factory steering wheel, working dome light, and a speedometer as long as the horizon. This even appears to have been a factory A/C car, but you will need to add back the components if you want to restore the function. And we particularly like the features that make this a better cruiser. The two wide rows of bench seats are even nice to spread out across thanks to a soft velour upgrade, and the auxiliary gauge trio gives you a better understanding of what\'s going on under the hood.

This two-door was optioned with Ford\'s C-code 289 V8 motor, and so it\'s nice to still have that displacement under the hood today. But since these hardy motors love upgrades, this one now packs some added punch from an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and a dual exhaust. It has the right power and smoothness to be an easy cruiser. Plus, you have a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and modern all-season tires to make you want to take it everywhere around town.

This Fairlane has a cool cruiser style, thoughtful upgrades, and a terrific price. So it\'s time to take this irresistible deal home. Call today!!!
