INTRODUCTION: This is a VIN-matched 442 with its original, born with drivetrain! It\'s documented with the original invoice and glovebox pouch, including the Protect-O-Plate. Very desirable combination of a four-speed and factory air conditioning! An exceptionally clean, straight, and honest car with what we believe to be just 37,630 original miles.
EXTERIOR: Boy, this is an exceptionally clean, straight, and nice fitting body! It\'s smooth from one end to the other, even along the bottoms. The panels are absolutely straight, and the doors shut like new. The lips around the trunk lid and bottoms of the doors are clean. It\'s finished in its original Aztec Gold color with beautiful metallic sparkle, a glossy finish, and painted on black 442 stripes. All the chrome and trim present themselves very nicely. The bumpers fit the body exceptionally well and retain their original black rubber corner fillers. The glass appears to be original, and all the weatherstrips and seals are excellent. The vinyl top is also in excellent shape. It has the correct notched rear bumper for the 442 exhaust tips, and even the high beams are original T3s! It\'s rolling on excellent SSII Rally wheels wrapped in reproduction Wide Oval redline tires.
INTERIOR: Sitting inside, my favorite feature is that genuine Hurst four-speed shifter sticking out of the console! Down on the floor is nice carpet with reproduction Oldsmobile mats. It has a complete set of original seat belts. The upholstery is in excellent shape, and the seats still have their original plastic trim. Door panels look great, the headliner is mint, and the dome light works. It even has the optional vanity mirror on the visor. The entire dash area is in excellent, unabused condition, featuring Rally Pack gauges, a Tic-Toc-Tach, and factory AM/FM radio. It also has the optional rear speaker and rear window defogger. The steering wheel looks great, and all the interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENTT: Under the hood is its original, born with, VIN # matching 400 engine producing 350 horsepower. It\'s equipped with factory air conditioning that\'s been converted to R134a refrigerant, along with power steering and power brakes. All the components look proper and authentic, and the metal surfaces are smooth and clean. It even retains the original rubber filler flaps on each side of the radiator and the plastic clamp securing the hose to the shroud. The windshield washers are hooked up, and it has the optional underhood lamp and hood insulation. It runs just like it\'s supposed to!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is clean and complete! Under the trunk lid and in the jamb, the paint is as smooth and glossy as the exterior. Inside is rock solid metal with the correct Oldsmobile two piece mat. The weatherstrip is soft, and the optional trunk light works. It\'s complete with the jack and lug wrench. Even the spare is a matching SSII Rally wheel wearing a redline tire!
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is exactly what you\'d hope to find on a well preserved, rust-free muscle car! The floors appear to be all original, rock solid metal wearing factory undercoat. The chassis is smooth, clean metal. It has the F41 suspension, which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed rear control arms. It also has a factory correct dual exhaust system, front disc brakes, and the emergency brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor, everything is clean and proper. It has its original VIN-matching Muncie four-speed transmission. The driveshaft still retains its assembly line paint markings and leads back to the original 12 bolt posi rear.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.
CONCLUSION: If you know the difference and appreciate a good, honest, original car, I think you\'ll be very pleased with this one! It\'s also a very desirable four-speed with factory air conditioning. Only 1,267 Sport Coupes were built with a four-speed! Someone\'s going to be very happy with this car, and I think it should be you!
