EXTERIOR: Professional body and paint by Alplex Automotive Inc in Watertown CT. Wow, I just walked up to the car and this is the first time I've taken a close look at the body and paint and its outstanding. The metal flake is laid out evenly, the clearcoat finish been sanded and polished to a glossy finish. You can see a sharp reflection in it from all angles. It is absolutely straight, the body lines are really tight and square. Rear fenders have been molded into the body seamlessly. Every single piece of chrome or stainless on the exterior this car has been restored to look like new. In front the grill, bumper, headlight bezels, hood ornament, emblem, lenses are all pristine. The wipers are polished, all the stainless around the windows and the molding that runs all the way around the back is professionally straightened and polished. New mirrors and door handles. In back the rear bumper is restored, has the cool original taillights. New rubber gaskets around the windshields and rear door window. The windshields are new, vent windows and door windows are new smoked glass. All new weatherstrips, vent window gaskets and fuzzy window seals. The jambs are meticulously painted, latches are restored. In back it has a door, not a tailgate, and it functions easily. It's riding on 18 inch chrome Foose wheels with G-Force BFGoodrich tires. very cool original style taillights the rear door it's not a hatchet is a door opens easily the jambs painted latches restored gaskets new door jambs are painted beautifully restored latches new weatherstrip new gasket around the vent windows new fuzzy window seals
INTERIOR: The interior is restored with the same attention to detail. Really, as I sat in the car I admired the quality and how cleanly it was done. Dash area is painted as nice as the outside. Real cool digital gauge pod lights up blue. Cleanly installed a/c controls, vents and stereo. The nice custom steering wheel looks expensive, the rim is painted body color. It's on a tilt column. Has nice pedals, shifter and knobs. Everything is reupholstered- headliner, side panels, seats. Very nicely installed carpeting with insulation front to back. 2 comfortable reclining bucket seats, drivers is power. Has a very functional center console with cup holders, storage and an armrest. There is a storage space under the floor behind the seats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow, I just opened the hood and it is really nice under here. Lots of polished aluminum parts and smooth gloss blue paint. I was told the motor is a GM ZZ4 crate 350 putting out over 350 hp. motor. lt has a custom dual tunnel ram fuel injection system from Street and Performance in Arkansas. The whole top of the motor is polished aluminum- heads, valve covers, intake, alternator, pullyes, brackets, a/c compressor, etc. It uses a serpentine belt system, has HEI ignition and a nice set of headers. It is using the 605 power steering with a polished reservoir. The radiator is polished beautifully, has an electric fan. The firewall has been smoothed out, the bottom of the hood and inner fenders are all painted gloss blue.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a thorough restoration of the underside. Fortunately the floors were rock solid. They were cleaned and sealed with a durable coating. Upfront has a Camaro subframe with Camaro suspension, steering and a swaybar. The bottom of the motor is clean. Has chrome flywheel cover. The trans is a 700R-4 overdrive automatic. In back it has Camaro 10 bolt rear. Upgraded to disc brakes at all four wheels. Many new parts- shocks, body bushings, starter, fuel and brake lines, brake booster, master cylinder etc. Real nice dual exhaust system. The underneath is very clean.
After going around this car there I am absolutely impressed. The condition top to bottom, in and out is outstanding. I don't see anything tacky, no issues, no corners cut. It's ready to show but dont be afraid to use it!
