Simply put, the 1975 Eldorado Convertible is the height of the automotive design - ideal in its time. The design is timeless. Our Owners 2-door convertible displays lines of structured beauty from front to back.
Our owners have enjoyed and kept the Caddy for over 40 years and always garaged and covered. Their favorite feature of the car is “all day, effortless driving“. That is what this beautiful Cadillac Eldorado Convertible does best. The 89,910 miles on the odometer is accurate and about 5 years ago a major refurbishment of parts took place and since that time there are less than 1,000 miles driven making those refreshed area still excellent.
In additional to the refurb 5 years ago, a well done respray was done about 10 years ago and the car now displays a beautiful Pearl White paint that contrasts to the like-new replacement red convertible top which fits and works perfectly. The paint is in close to perfect condition. No rust and a limited number of small scratches on a few corners. From the aluminum carpet trim strips in the doorjamb to the small hidden areas in and around the car, we see a car that was properly prepped and painted and that end result is looking fantastic today. Original, huge iconic Cadillac hubcaps cover all 4 wheels. Hubcaps, bumpers, brightwork, lights, glass and more are all original and look great. The important convertible top mechanism works fine as it should and the top and glass for the top are like new.
The centerpiece of this resplendent Eldorado’s interior are the front and back Cadillac bench seats. Recovered in fine red leather that matches the red of the dash, wheel and rest of the interior, they are firm, supple, and offer the height of comfort for the everyone, front and back. The interior carpet was also replaced with original replacements. The original radio with 8-track tape is in place and working as is the heater, AC , and electric windows. So much glass and all in great shape. The 2 interior door panels are just perfect looking with more gorgeous red leather and wooden-like inserts, all original from the factory. No rips, no scratches- they look great.
A road chariot like this Eldorado needs a special, powerful propulsion systems. The wise fathers in Detroit knew this, so they fitted the car with Luxurious and powerful powertrain, the venerable and huge Cadillac 500 cubic inch engine mated to a GM transaxle for rail-like front wheel drive. Brakes, suspension, shocks all have been regularly service and are working as they should. The 89,910 miles on the odometer is accurate.
Our Lemon Squad inspector took a good look and test drive of the Caddy and had some interesting things to note - The engine is strong and has plenty of power. No leaks or vibrations and the transmission shifted very smoothly. A brake light and signal bulb needs to be replaced. All fluids are full. This spectacular Cadillac shows every sign of being well taken care of.
There are 2 kinds of people in this world – Cadillac people and everyone else. If you are one of the former, then this rolling monument to Big Detroit Iron might be just what you are looking for and there will be many miles and fun hours.
