DESCRIPTION

1967 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide Motorcycle

For consignment, a 1967 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide motorcycle showing 478 mile, but the true miles are unknown. The numbers matching motor and the transmission were professionally rebuilt and this solid driver proved itself by making the one hour trip to Morgantown without issue!

Exterior
Hi-Fi Blue serves as the anchor color for this big bike while black saddlebags, seat, and lower fairing offer at least one aspect of contrast. The other is found in the chrome parts; everything from the light rings, front fork, engine bars, rear shocks, and some engine covers provide a bright, mirror-like contrasting finish. There\'s also trim on the fenders including an elaborate bar design on the front, engraved Harley reference on the nose, Electra-Glide script on the side, and finishing piece on the back edge of the front fender, and this all repeats on the rear fender. The tank wears the Harley emblem boldly on both sides and includes spiked fuel tank caps that flank the central ignition and speedometer housing. On the bar mount, Harley\'s Eagle carries a ribbon with the now iconic motto \"Live to Ride, Ride to Live\" and it\'s there as a gentle reminder. Front and back carry 16-inch chrome wire wheels with equal sized tires at 5.00-16. The paint and components are all in great shape with only very light evidence of usage around the chain.

Functionality
The speedometer with single digits is housed in a chrome faceplate while simple handlebars are accompanied by only a single push button on each side and side mirrors attached. Drum brakes are provided at each wheel and the single headlight is flanked by fog lights. A blue dot tail light clings to the rear fender and that is bookended by small skull heads. Turn signals will require proper use of your left arm.

Drivetrain
Here we have the numbers matching 74ci Shovelhead V-twin with 60-65 horsepower, rebuilt and fueled by a 1-barrel carburetor. The transmission was rebuilt as is a 4-speed manual with chain drive to the rear wheel. Headers lead to the single stock style exhaust. Suspension consists of a telescopic fork in front and swing arm in back.

The Electra Glide is a legendary motorcycle from Harley Davidson. So much so, they began producing revision versions in 2021. Hotcars.com continues, \"The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide is not only one big beast with a fierce reputation as the \"King of the Highway,\" but it has a tradition and a history that has grown over the years.\"

Here\'s a very fine example of that legend that could be in your garage before the summer hits! If you really want to bond with other vintage Harley owners, keep in mind that Sturgis starts on August 7th.
