DESCRIPTION
This beautiful Jet Black Classic Convertible Hudson came out of a local Estate and was owned by the previous owner for the last 47 years. It was being restored many years ago and the project stalled after the fresh rebuilt 308 engine blew a head gasket and it has sat in a warehouse ever since. The upgraded engine is a 308 Cubic Inch Hudson Hornet model with the Twin H Power dual Carter carburetors also known as the largest Flat six of it’s time. Along with the engine upgrade a Dual Range Hydromatic automatic transmission was added, which was not yet available in 1946, so this car was shaping up to be quite a vintage Hot Rod! The Blue vinyl interior appears to be original in style with the exception of the automatic transmission steering column, pedal assembly and upgraded Hornet Dash component’s with additional under-dash Stewart Warner gauges. The Chrome and stainless is in very nice condition and the factory 15 inch Cream painted steel wheels with caps and rings look the part wrapped in vintage Firestone wide whitewall tires. This Classic is a non running project that will need some love and attention to get back on the road but it does come with a spare engine if requested.
