DESCRIPTION
This 1964 Dodge Dart has an awesome color-combo inside and out. There are even thoughtful upgrades like the cold-blowing air conditioning. But what really makes the investments in upgrading this Dart irresistible is the full performance build that delivers a powerful V8, upgraded suspension, four-on-the-floor, and four-wheel disc brakes. It provides distinction, power, and comfort - all in one package.
Dodge was particularly bold with this generation Dart by giving it the rounded styling that came from Chrysler's futuristic turbine-powered cars. Today the design has appreciated into a retro-cool reminder of the jet age. That's a good thing because the glossy charcoal gray paint on this car looks out-of-the-world in the sunlight. It's the perfect framework for the brightwork, and like any good 1960s coupe, there's plenty of it. The detailed grille, headlight bezels, full-length trim, and rear bumper surrounded by trim give this plenty of added shining appeal. The only piece of brightwork you won't find is the front bumper. It was expertly removed because it helps the front end drive home this car's custom/speedy image. You see more of this performance look in the polished 17-inch Ridler alloys that have extra-wide rear rubber and a forward-leaning stance for added intimidation.
The fresh blue interior has a tasteful look against the exterior gray. Good-looking door panels, button-top seats, LED dash lighting, Dynamat insulation, and a new air conditioning system (installed in 2020) make this a nice place to spend some time. But from the moment you get into the driver's bucket seat, you know this Dart is really all about speedy business. You've got a three-spoke sports steering wheel, auxiliary gauge trio, and carbon fiber paneling on the dash. The large AutoMeter Autogage tach w/shift light is pure professional quality. And the Hurst shifter even has a line lock to get you ready for those dragstrip nights.
The engine bay shows off nothing but big investments in proper Mopar V8 power. It's a 318 cubic-inch motor that's said to be bored over .030. It has been enhanced and fortified with 360 heads, Hughes Performance Whiplash 213/226 camshaft, CVF Racing pulleys, MSD 6AL ignition, Summit Racing high torque starter, new aluminum radiator w/electric fans, an Edelbrock Airgap intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's a stout power setup, and you have full control over it thanks to the four-speed manual transmission that includes a McLeod clutch. This feeds a 3.73 Sure Grip rear end built by Scotts Hot Rod Shop, so it's a stout unit for confident take-offs. Plus, there are QA1 suspension components, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled & slotted rotors.
Currently on a rebuilt title, this is an impressive build of a distinctly sporty Dart. The sale even comes with the build receipts to prove the time, effort, and big investment to create a car of this caliber. Call today!!!
