DESCRIPTION
This 1981 Ford F-100 is going to help you re-define muscle truck. After all, it doesn't just have a cool/coordinated color combo and five-speed stick, but also the V8 is an upgraded Mustang performance heart. And you get this whole package for one obtainable price.
You can instantly tell this truck is the aggressor. The red paint was an upgrade later in life so it has a nice shine and a vibrant look. And the added cowl hood really ups the intimidation factor. Plus, the front end has been blacked-out with the grill, bumper, and upgraded dark background headlights. This feeling continues down the side with tinted windows as well as the mirrors, trim, and door handles in black. The black liner paint in the bed coordinates with the package while also continuing this Ford's life as a useful pickup. Even the upgrade 15-inch Ridler modern alloys carry this intimidating dark attitude. You'll also love the detail work, like the flush roll pan and Cobra badges on the side. So you can really see this is a thoughtful total build.
Inside is more of the red and black sporty feeling. It starts with high-back bucket seats with cool red inserts. There's a large AutoMeter Sport-Comp tach mounted directly in front of you on the steering column, and the Hurst shifter rises from the floor to meet your right hand. So while this one has an AM/FM/CD stereo upgrade, the performance tingle this truck gives you lets you know that your favorite soundtrack really starts under the hood.
The engine bay has been upgraded with a 302 cubic-inch V8 borrowed from a Mustang. More than just getting pony power, this F-100 was done correctly at installation with a new timing chain, water pump, oil pump, valve seals, and an aluminum radiator to help keep it all running cool. Plus, it has go-fast goodies like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and Hooker shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. And you have full control over the upgraded power and the high-performance soundtrack thanks to the five-speed manual transmission. Just like the motor, it came from the Mustang upgraded with new seals and synchros. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and modern Hankook Ventus tires, and this is one terrifically upgraded muscle truck.
Powerful, distinct, and quite affordable, you know this is the custom truck that you need to get your hands on right now before it's gone. Call now!
