DESCRIPTION

That sculpted front grille sitting between a pair of flared, tapered fenders. Those intricate engine vents. The husky form culminating in an aggressively sloped deck lid. With so much effortless style in one place, it\'s easy to see why this 1933 Ford Cabriolet makes for such a compelling foundation to build on. This is a great-looking cruiser, dressed in deep blue paint that holds a nice shine. And, where some circa \'30s projects put the emphasis almost solely on aesthetics, this one features a collection of mechanical upgrades that make it a fine driver as well. Because it has only logged a little over 5,000 miles since being built, this open-air Ford should be well-positioned to offer many future miles of driving happiness.

There\'s a lot to like about the accompanying interior. With its tan vinyl upholstery, tight, well-fitted door panels, and clean contrasting carpeting, this is a really nice driving environment. An aftermarket Budnik steering wheel sits on a tilt steering column, allowing you to arrive at the perfect driving position, and just in front of it, there\'s a collection of Auto Meter gauges sitting inside a nicely contoured instrument panel. An Alpine AM/FM/Cassette stereo sits at the center of the dash, teaming with a CD changer mounted in the trunk, to provide you with plenty of audio options. The removable cabriolet hardtop also makes this vintage Ford a viable driving option in less forgiving weather, and it fits nicely to keep the elements at bay.

Beneath that distinctive hood sits a 350 cubic-inch V8 engine. It\'s fed by a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold and teams with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission that shifts well to result in a powerful, yet reliable drivetrain. An HEI electronic distributor supplies an enhanced, consistent spark while an upgraded aluminum radiator sits at the front of the engine bay to help keep operating temperatures under control. With all these mechanical components functioning in top form, this classic Ford starts promptly and accelerates smoothly. Power brakes that position discs in front supply a level of reliable stopping ability that comes in handy during frequent driving.
