DESCRIPTION

This very cool 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is exactly the kind of car you need if you crave the right kind of attention. After all, it's a custom car with a beautifully vibrant finish. But what you'll also love about this one is that the investments also made this a better driver, including a terrific small block under the hood.

Of course, the first thing you will notice about this one is the color. Chevrolet never laid down anything as bold as this kind of yellow in 1954, but there is some precedent for this upgrade. This was the second year for the Corvette, and it was the first time the factory let you have it in anything other than white. So this was the first year of the colorful Corvette, and just goes to an extreme and gives you something closer to the Millennium Yellow that came half a century later. But even with a paint upgrade, this one keeps all the factory curves and details that make this a classic. That means a bright toothy grille leading the way, race-inspired grilles over the headlights, full-length trim, and curvy tailfins. There are even nice details, like the Plexiglas license plate cover that the dual exhaust routed through the body. This overall package is presented in a driver-quality setup, and that's desirable to have here. You are going to see more investment that makes this a more engaging cruiser, and so it's right that it should give the overall impression of a car that won't make you envious to enjoy it.

The black roof looks quite good against the yellow exterior, but for true distinction, you'll want to take it down. After all, the cream interior looks like you peeled back a banana. While it may sound funny, it has the right kind of natural style that adds sophistication to the boldness. This keeps a stock style on details like the bucket seats and speedometer. But this was also made to be a better driver, and so you have more modern upgrades with the smaller diameter sports steering wheel, Lokar shifter, and a dash filled with crisp AutoMeter gauges, including a large tach. And the Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth means this upgraded classic also has upgraded driving music.

Corvette fans would have to wait until the next year for small block power. However, this custom car not only upgraded to the V8, but it also added something larger than what the first generation cars ever had. In fact, the 400 cubic inch V8 is the largest small block the Chevy ever installed in their cars. And more than just displacement, this one inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and upgraded intake. It also exhales with added power and authority as Hooker long tube headers feed the dual exhaust. It's supported by the right pieces, like an alternator, finned Edelbrock valve covers, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The three-speed automatic transmission gives you a solid cruiser feeling, and the upgraded polished torque thrust style wheels mean you get to fit better/wider tires.

This is the first-gen Corvette built with plenty of added style and substance. So it's time to grab a true classic that truly turns heads. Call today!!!
