Sleek, powerful, and absolutely iconic this 1969 Pontiac GTO is the real-deal muscle machine that has cool features and finished exactly how you want it.
Matador Red is an awesome paint name that instantly reminds you this is a fearless competitor who takes on big power animals. And it only gets better on this one that has been given a proper professional respray. The addition of the stripes on this real-deal GTO also gives the look that this matador's cape is flowing in the wind. More than just the color, you'll love the details. The stylish and dent-resistant Endura front end was exclusive to the GTO and not shared with any other mid-size Pontiacs in 1969. The sportiness continues with the full-width rear spoiler. The Ram Air dual hood scoop is another unmistakable icon of this muscle car, and the same goes for the Rally II wheels.
You paid a little bit more for a Pontiac back in the day, and the premium difference can be felt the moment you sit down in the bucket seat. This is a comfortable center console car with bright wood appearance panels used through the center section and dash to add a little extra character to the black inside. It has a very vintage feeling throughout, right down to the AM radio that's still on display. But your real tunes come from an AM/FM/CD player w/aux input in the glovebox. So you get a vintage atmosphere but the best driving music. There are also provisions for some cool features, like air conditioning and the hood tach. And the dual-gate shifter is a great reminder that this is a powerful Pontiac.
It wouldn't be a '69 GTO without the big 400 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. It looks great filling out the tidy engine bay with plenty of shine from the valve covers, air topper, bright Pontiac turquoise block. This has been given a recent tune up, so it fires up nicely. The big V8 inhales deeply with a proper Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle all the power, and it's great for easy cruising. And the power steering, front disc brakes, and BF Goodrich T/A tires reaffirm this driver's attitude. After all, why own an iconic muscle car if you can't easily show it off everywhere?
The sale comes complete with a partial buildsheet and the Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation. This is real-deal red GTO you've been waiting for, so don't miss out. Call today!!!
