1941 Packard 110 Special Convertible
Purchased well over 40 years ago from a junkyard in NJ, the former owner of this wonderful Packard slowly restored her to her former beauty. Every piece of this car has been touched and refurbished, made new or purchased new over the last 41+ years. This car is a concours quality show winner that recently took First Place in Class at the Lime Rock Park Historics Concour d''Elegance in 2016. The year before, the car placed second and the year before that, 3rd in class. It has also won at several other local/CT car shows.
The car has been driven to these local shows, not hidden away in an enclosed trailer. Hence, there may be a small blemish picked up on on a trunk lid edge or a fender lip.
This car has a three speed manual transmission, new Goodyear tires, 6 cyl. 100 hp motor, brand new interior, new exhaust, new top, rechromed bumpers... you name it, it has been made new. The short wheelbase 110 was indeed the more "sporting" of the Packards being produced at the time and the rolling, muscular lines really show up when seen from down low. This car is very probably better than it rolled off the assembly line when new. The deep paint color is Laguna Maroon. The car has about 80K miles on the odometer, however, only several thousand miles have been put on her since the full restoration was completed about 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, just a few short years after completing this life long trek, the owner passed away and I am now helping the family move this splendid car onto a new conservator.
This car needs nothing but to be loved and enjoyed as this last owner did.
The asking price on this car is $45000.
