DESCRIPTION
Solid '56 Hornet with 25,907 miles I paid $22,000 for mounted on a 96,000 mile 1994 Chevy Caprice police car. The 115.8 inch wheelbase Chevy chassis had to be lengthened 5.6 inches. Body off swap onto Chevy rails, front and rear suspension, steering, etc. that was all stripped to bare metal and repainted. Caprice floor pan. Brakes are new including cylinders, calipers, rotors, etc. The Hornet 6 cylinder was replaced with a stock fuel injected Chevy small block LT V8 with Chevy 700 R4 automatic and overdrive. Has new aftermarket AC, cruise control, radio, digital dash by Intellitronix and new steering wheel by American Retro. New tires, original wheel cover, looks like a stock Hudson. All original; emblems and trim retained. No dents or body damage. A few small paint chips around taillights. Body was repainted from mid-section down. Entire interior, headliner and carpeting redone retaining stock '56 Hudson appearance. Starts at the touch of the key. Over a year of work and $72,000 invested.
