800 Derita Road, Ste. A
This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a classic that has been upgraded with serious big block power and the side pipes that can really make it sing. So if you've been on the hunt for a vintage package with big power and a big presence, read on...
These C3s always look nice in burgundy. It's akin to red with a little extra depth, and this one shows it off with an extra metallic element when this Corvette was resprayed later in life. As a first-year C3 it has some of the most brightwork of the bunch, including the shark-like front bumper, curvy two-piece rear bumper, windshield trim, rockers, and Rally wheels. Plus, this one has been upgraded with added shine around the body grates and vents on the big block hood. And of course, you quickly noticed the polished side pipes (but likely more because they're an icon for power, too.)
This convertible comes with a desirable two-roof package. And both the folding soft top and removable hard top are finished in a black that looks quite nice against the exterior burgundy. Of course, a convertible is at its best when its open to the world. And so they made sure you still got the great look of black with the all-black interior. Bucket seats and a grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel are all that you need to know that this one is ready for power driving. While there are provisions for an upgraded radio, the open top allows you to really hear those side pipes rumble with the best high-performance soundtrack around.
While the third-gen Corvettes ushered in the era of the great big block Corvette, this C3 takes it a step further. This is a more recent Gen IV 454 cubic-inch V8 crate motor. Plus, it's got all the right performance pieces, like aluminum heads, a rebuilt four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and headers that add power before feeding those wicked side pipes. You'll even spot nice supporting components, like the electronic distributor and aluminum radiator. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit that know how to handle this big power motor. And because the cars were made to enjoy in the open road, you have the fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel disc brakes.
This is serious big block power and sound in one of the most affordable C3 packages you'll find. So don't miss this deal. Call now!
