DESCRIPTION
INTRODUCTION: Body off frame restoration #s matching. Very sought after 1 year color. Over 100 pages of restoration invoices and pictures of the frame off restoration. Highly desirable 427 with a/c
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is excellent on this Corvette. The body gaps line up square and flush, and the doors shut nicely, headlights open properly. The unmistakable bulge hood lets you know there\'s a 427 underneath. It\'s also a very desirable coupe- rarer than the convertible and better looking too. It was repainted in its original Mossport Green, a very desirable one year only color that\'s highly sought after today. The metallic is laid out evenly, and the finish has been polished smooth and glossy. The chrome, trim and emblems are exceptionally straight, shiny and fit properly. It has the correct power antenna, and they even went as far as replacing the glass and weatherstrips. A great looking set of knockoff wheels wrapped in radial tires finishes it off perfectly.
INTERIOR: It is very fresh, tidy and well done. The seats feel like new- nice and firm with excellent upholstery and they feature the rare factory headrest option. The entire dash area is excellent; the dash pads are fresh, the instruments were restored, the factory AM/FM stereo was rebuilt, and all the knobs were replaced. The wiring harness was replaced. The center console looks like new with the correct reverse lockout shifter and power window switches. It also has reproduction seat belts and nice looking carpet from front to back. The correct jack is stored in the rear compartment, and the headliner and visors are excellent. Once you\'re sitting behind the wheel, you\'ll know exactly what I\'m talking about- it has that exceptionally fresh, crisp feel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Now here\'s a combination you don\'t see too often: a 427 with factory air conditioning! This is the #s-matching 427-390 horsepower engine with the correct codes, dates and casting numbers. It has the correct manifolds and even the proper valve covers with the spot weld dimples. The correct numbered carburetor was restored, along with the correct numbered distributor. All the proper ignition shielding is in place, including the braided plug wires. The air conditioning system has been serviced and blows cold, and it also features power steering. The wiper motor and heater core were rebuilt, the wiring harness was replaced. The engine compartment is exceptionally fresh and proper throughout, right down to details like the washer fluid bag and a battery disconnect switch.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, and we have the pictures to document it. The frame and chassis components are smooth, clean and painted black. The independent suspension front and rear was completely rebuilt, along with the steering including a new steering box. It has a factory correct dual exhaust with the tips exiting through the rear valance. There are disc brakes at all four wheels, and the e-brake is hooked up. The fiberglass floors are nice and clean, and the spare tire carrier is in place. Looking up at the motor, it\'s spotless Chevy Orange with a proper starter and the correct canister style oil filter. It has its #s matching Muncie 4-speed transmission, rebuilt by J&M transmissions. Out back is the correctly dated, 3.08 posi rear end.

CONCLUSION: If you like this car- and I know you do- you can\'t hesitate, because there\'s not going to be another one like it. Mosport Green was a one year only color, and finding one on a Corvette this nice is difficult enough. Now add #s matching 427 and cold factory air conditioning, and you\'ve got one extremely desirable Corvette. This is the one you don\'t want to miss!
