It has its original #\'s matching 396 engine and was lovingly restored and cared for by its previous owner/collector for the past 16 years. It has received a meticulous ground up restoration and is an absolute thing of beauty!

EXTERIOR: The black grill, dual scoop hood, red stripe tires and cross flag SS 396 emblems let you know that this is Something Special, AKA SS! This car has been repainted Milano Maroon and looks totally slick, no vinyl top. The paint was applied with great detail then wet sanded and polished to a reflective finish. Looking down the side of the body it is absolutely laser straight with no rust or major imperfections. All the panels are properly aligned, and the gaps are consistent throughout. The doors open and close like a new car. All the glass has been replaced and is crystal clear except the back window which is original but in great condition. The front and rear bumpers look awesome with fresh chrome and optional bumper guards. Rare remote mirror, it even has a little bowtie marking. The remaining trim is all in fantastic condition with a nice shine to it. The original Super Sport and 396 badges are all in place. The taillights are original. The reproduction BF Goodrich redline radial tires are in fantastic condition. They are mounted to reproduction 15 inch rally rims with chrome rings.

INTERIOR: This deluxe interior is complete with many options from the factory. The front bucket seats and rear bench seat have both been recovered, they look and feel fantastic. The center console with automatic shifter and the optional clock appear to be original but in amazing condition. The carpeting has been replaced and it has rubber floor mats. The door panels have also been replaced and have their totally rare factory power window toggles in place. The driver side mirror is remote controlled. The dash pad looks like new. The remainder of the dashboard appears to be original but in great shape. The stereo has been upgraded with a vintage looking digital unit. The instrumentation is original, and it has optional gauges flanking either side of the speedometer. It also has a \"knee knocker tachometer\". Rare tilt column and deluxe steering wheel. The headliner, visors, and rearview mirror all have been replaced as well and look great.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This car has its numbers matching 396 big block under the hood! It doesn\'t get much better than this! A modern Holley double pumper has been added (the original is in the trunk). The remainder of the motor looks stock and even has the correct hoses and tower clamps. The motor has been freshened up with its correct Chevy orange paint, chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Both the squirters and horn are hooked up. It has power steering and power brakes. The fender wells and firewall with cowl tag have all been painted their correct satin black. The underside of the hood is complete with a working light and insulation. It has also been painted satin black just like when it left the factory. This is a proper engine compartment in all respects!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This trunk is complete and clean. The bottom side of the trunk lid and jam have been painted body color. There is a working light (part of the convenience group). Reproduction stickers have been added. The weather stripping has been replaced. Inside metal is all solid and painted with a factory style spatter finish. There\'s a full-size spare with an original type Firestone redline mounted to it. A jack assembly is also included. Matching mat and tire cover. The original carburetor, AM/FM radio, air cleaner and new front grill, and headlight bezels are wrapped up and included in the trunk.

UNDERSIDE: This car has received a meticulous ground up restoration and the underbody is nicely detailed. All the steering components appear to be in good condition and are currently working well, we completed a front end alignment. The front suspension looks good, and the control arms were painted black. The shocks were replaced and there is a front sway bar with the links replaced. The rear shocks were upgraded to air shocks. There are drum brakes at all four corners, and the emergency brake is hooked up. The full dual exhaust system has been replaced and upgraded with Flowmaster mufflers. The exhaust exits through polished tips under the rear bumper and sounds excellent. The gas tank has been replaced and we put in a new fuel pump. Looking up with the motor it is nice and clean and fresh with Chevy orange paint. It also has the correct starter and a canister style oil filter. The Powerglide automatic transmission also is nice and clean and appears to have been recently serviced. The correct 12 bolt Eaton posi rear end has 3.31 gearing and it\'s date code is consistent with this car. It\'s got a fresh look and has been painted black. The floors
