The interior is in pretty good shape, with comfy beige and off-white seats and matching door panels. The red dashboard matches the exterior paint and showcases an original-style VDO tachometer, gas gauge, and what appears to be an upgraded AM/FM radio. The carpets look decent and are protected by heavy-duty diamond plate floor mats. There is a locking glove box for storage, along with more storage in the front trunk that also has a diamond plate floor mat and a spare tire area.
In the rear sits a 1600cc single-port flat 4-cylinder engine. Bolted to it is a 4-speed manual transmission that runs power through a VW transaxle. The front suspension features a Link Pin design with shocks, while the rear uses a swing axle design with shocks. The 15-inch wheels sport VW center caps and are wrapped in 195/60R15 tires. Manual drum brakes are fitted at all four corners, while stock-style manifolds and dual exhaust handle the airflow.
